there was nowhere to hide to keep warm and dry
as the furrows were filled to cover our heels
the water poured in we were soaked to the skin

Because we were trapped in this terrible storm
without any way to avoid getting wet
we resigned ourselves to be washed clean

The storm rumbled on turning day into night
there was nothing to do but see this thing through
